Restore Sanity or Keep Fear Alive You Make the Choice

To Our Fellow Bloggers :

Now is the time to stand up and let your voices be heard. It will bring back the old days at Cal Berkeley or Columbia when people had the gumption to challenge authority and demand that there be some accountability by those that were in power. Well, fellow readers the time has come. On October 30th, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert will simultaneously hold rallies in the shadows of the Washington Monument. The Stewart rally is called "The Rally to Restore Sanity," while the Colbert rally is called "The March to Keep Fear Alive." So as Stephen loves to call out every night TSB implores our readers, Nation, its time for the 70-80% of us that have to work for a living and bring some sanity to this world to unite. Book your hotel rooms and make your travel arrangement as soon as possible. TSB will be on site with a live feed. As Howard Beale once screamed in network, now is the time for you to be heard, I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it any more. See you there.

  2. Oh and I guess Sarah Palin and Glen Beck are the voice of reason. LOL

  3. This will be awesome!

  4. 2:03, you're right on brother. 2:04, you're an idiot. If you think that these two douche bags have any interest in the capitalist market, then you're a douche bag too. TSB, I used to think that you were alright, but you must be one more dumber than dirt Northeastern lib, looking for a handout from Massah Obama and Herr Reid, and Frau Nancy.

  5. Now how immature can you be 3:13. Have you any sense of humor or are you one of those serious people that just don't know how to have a good time. How can anyone not make fun of Sarah Barracuda and an ex-comedian that today claim that they are the golden oracles that will lead America to the promised land.

  6. Yes, Anonymous 3:13 I wouldn't want to disappoint you, I must burst your bubble and inform you that I am not a liberal. I am actually a radical muslim who is a card carrying member of the communist party (does that even exist anymore). Relax or you may shoot an aneurysm and you may look up in the OR and I will be standing over you.

  7. TSB.....Don't do a Howard Beale at the Washington Monument!!! We may cheer.

  8. Why is it that the hard right wingers always drop it down to the bullshit name calling and generalizations? Massah? Frau? Herr? So you're obviously one of those idiots that believes the president is a muslim...was born outside the country...and is a direct descendant of Lenin. Dumber than dirt? Wow, must have been waiting to throw that one out for the last while. Go watch Beck and his chalkboard...oh that's right he doesn't even have anything beyond a high school diploma. Hard right wingers are scared that the country doesn't look like 1950 where everyone "knew there place". Hard truth brother, things are changing whether you like or not and its better without a draft dodging, dadddys boy from money f-ing up the country and starting wars that aren't necessary.

Signed a 6'6, 270lb independant from the midwest....masters degree and all

  9. A couple of funny ass dopes!

  10. Get a life 8:14. This country is changing, just in the opposite direction you want it to. I think it's funny that you, as a "small business" person, would support this administration. Obamacare alone will make us all irrelevant. Something tells me you are a Dem driving a foreign vehicle. Way to keep your fellow Democratic Teamster boys employed in Detroit. Signed 6'4 225 Republican from the midwest. That drives American.

  11. hey 6'6 270. The first lady has a plan for you. People like you are why she feels she must govern what we eat...

  12. Sounds like 9:49 is a complete meathead.

  13. Friends of mine always marvel at how thin skinned and greedy this industry really is. You would all kill yourselves to make a buck. Corporation and the illusion of the American Dream really has most of you by the gonads

    ReplyDelete
  14. I think the meathead is making a statement that the majority of conservatives like to paint moderates or liberals as egg-headed, pencil neck geeks whereas conservatives are "tough, patriotic, real americans" Just like the previous post said, its all about greed. Back in Eisenhowers era the top tax rate was like 90% and I don't see many right wingers calling him a liberal. Why is it that low and the soon diminishing middle income earners vote these asswipes in after giving tax breaks to the rich? Its this fantasy world that they too will be a rich fatcat at some time.

  15. I say eff the liberals and the conservatives. How about we create a new political party called, "Americans for Reasonable Fairness"? Or maybe simply, "The Rationalists" would suffice? There is just way too much craziness coming from BOTH sides of the aisle, and I'm sick of it.

  16. Amen 11:57

I'm sick and tired of hearing things
    From uptight, short-sighted, narrow-minded hypocrites
All I want is the truth, just give me the truth

I've had enough of reading things
    By neurotic, psychotic, pig-headed politicians
All I want is the truth
    Just give me the truth

I've had enough of watching scenes
Of Schizophrenic, ego-centric, paranoic, prima donnas
All I want is the truth
    Just give me the truth

Or as the infamous Colonel Jessup said, "You can't handle the truth."

  17. 10:51 - "Its this fantasy world that they too will be a rich fatcat at some time." Last time I checked...this was the American Dream. It's what our jobs and being a Capitalist is all about. It's true the politics are effed-up in this country but why do we demonize the rich so much? I'm sure there are those that didn't work a penny for their wealth. I find it hard to beleive anyone could find fault in the man that worked hard to create his own wealth. It's his, let him have it. How about less entitlement programs and more programs that encourage an education and hard days work?

  18. 11:57........with you there! Supposedly that is the Teabag mantra, but I see too many illiterates and bible thumpers in their ranks to draw me in

    ReplyDelete
  19. How about a flat tax for everyone, that means everyone gets taxed the same. Right now, you get penalized for working harder, because the more you make the higer your taxes are. What is scary is that almost 50% of the people in this country receive some type of govt handout. A flat tax is fair to all!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Of course some Hedge Fund Managers that make a billion dollars a year should only pay their 15% flat tax as they pay now. I love American, while you little people argue amongst yourselves, we drink champagne.

  21. 7:17...srsly, do you think anyone else flapping their gums on here has read that book or gets that reference? True it may be, but beyond the pale of the wee minds yapping about what flavor of Kool-aid they prefer on here.

  22. Sweet! I'm in MM! There should be a lot of us since non of us have jobs (because of George Bush OF COURSE). The way I see it, we already have 47% of us that don't pay income tax, so if we can just get it up to 51%, we can start voting ourselves whatever we want out of the public trust with no personal liability!
Let's stick it to those rich fat cats! Those jerks can't be trusted to give anything to charity (ok, they do now, but they won't if we stop watching them!) or help our economy by taking risks to invest their dirty money.
The government is clearly the best stewart of our resources. Let's kill all those dirty 1/4 millionaires and use the money to give ourselves government jobs so that we can be complacent enough to laugh with Jon Stewart at those stupid redneck tea baggers who want smaller government and politicians with morals.

  23. Educate yourself! Don't just listen to Glenn Beck or Jon Stewart, and follow like some lemming.
    Four Steps:

    1. Learn what socialism really is
    2. Research the unbiased facts (not CNN, not Fox News) to find out if your elected officials believe in socialism
    3. Determine whether or not you like socialist ideals
    4. vote

    ReplyDelete
  24. F Jon Stewart! Funny doesn't make up for being wrong about life.

TSB - let's keep it to spine, as your forte is DEFINITELY NOT politics.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Hey a little levity goes a long way. Life is too short to take some of the insanity that we are all dealing with.

    ReplyDelete
  26. For all of those bleeding heart libs who despise the thought of capitalism, and the guy who thinks we need to research the definition of socialism.
I would recommend you use 2 cities to help formulate your opinions of what liberal policies will do for you.
    1) Detroit
    2)New Orleans
The dems have been in control for at least the last 50 years and look at them now....full of nothing but citizens looking for the next handout. Wow, lets all quit our jobs and let the government take care of us....what a great idea! Better yet, lets take more $$ from the evil rich people, they don't deserve it. Before long we wont have to worry about any rich people because they will be setting up shop elsewhere making another country the envy of the rest of the world!

  27. Guys like you make all of us LOL. You're probably some poor slob humping it everyday to make a good living. You bitch about America but probably drive a foreign car. You believe that you are rich because you read The Secret. You probably make less than $250K per year and all you worry about are rich people. I don't want to break the news to you, but you aren't rich. The failure of corporate America probably had no effect on Lansing, I'm sure that those lazy assembly line workers and the unions were the cause. I'm sure that the casino mentality that was established by the Titans of Wall Street had nothing to do with the current state of the economy. Don't want to break the news to you, those are the same capitalist that you were cussing at only two years ago because you're such a free marketeer that you weren't willing to forgo your 401K? You probably wanted us to invade Iraq and Afghanistan but never thought about the financial repercussions. People would have more respect for you if you came out and said, I'm a white man and within a few year I will be a minority in my own country. Like everything else, you will learn to adapt. You're probably the guy that bitches about illegals but hires them to cut your lawn and take care of your landscape. I sure you're a pedigree, you ancestors didn't come to this country, they were Indians. Must I go on to explain how stupid you really sound.

  28. Hey 6'6", 270 lbs, I'm 6'0" 200 lbs. So what? You think your size scares people? Does that make you a badass? Oh, I'm trembling with fear. Which website did you buy your masters degree from? Anyone can get one these days, just step right up and pay the carnie that is selling them. You wouldn't know how to spell cat if someone didn't spot you the "a" and the "t", and even then you probably need spellcheck. Go slop your hogs and slap that fat wife of yours on the butt, watch your reruns of Hee-Haw, and pick your teeth with some straw. That is, if you have teeth.

  30. to anonymous 1:57,

I love how you just assume that you are in the majority by saying "guys like me all of you LOL". I also love how you make assumptions about my lifestyle and income, and for the record I am semi retired, hold 2 patents for intelllectual property that pays me millions, and have royalty payments on medical devices...so suffice it to say I am not at all what you assumed. I am one of those truly rich people that hire and employ and insure hundreds of employees. I am a white guy, and I do not have to learn to adapt to being a minority in my own country, I am one of those who has actually learned from history what governmental control of the private sector results in.....and we are seeing it more and more every day! You are the idiot who will be humping it day to day to make ends meet, begging your employer to cover that root canal you so dearly need. I am set for the rest of my life and can live anywhere in the world, hopefully it will be the U.S.
You may think I sound stupid, but I will have the last laugh at you when the U.S. becomes a 3rd world nation due to your stupidity and arrogance.

  31. By the sounds of it, you're just another arrogant prick.

Pompous rich man, I mean Massah Whiteboy, don't be so full of yourself. If your penis is as big as your ego, women look out.

  33. Considering that the government under Bush became larger than it ever was, it's Obama's fault damn it. Who is 8:14? Maybe that guy is sitting around counting his millions doing amyl nitrate.
